Remediation Protocol Recommendation in General

Remediation should be performed under controlled conditions by a qualified licensed remediation contractor. The remediation contractor shall perform the work according to the guidelines and specified in:

The accepted remediation practices of the Certified Mold Inspectors and Contractors Institute, Hurricane, Utah;

The U.S.E. P.A. document Mold Remediation in Schools and Commercial Buildings, March, 2001, EPA 420-K-01-001;

Chapter 15 of the book Bioaerosols: Assessment and Control, 1999, by the American Conference of Governmaental Industrial Hygienists;

OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29CFR1910.1200); and

OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard (29CFR1910.134)
- Mold Remediation is intended by Louisiana State Regulation to be performed by a qualified, certified and licensed Mold Remediation Contractor.
